Maui Jim was born in 1980 as a small company selling sunglasses on Ka'anapali Beach in Lahaina, Maui. When we saw a need in the marketplace for a technology that could combat intense glare and harmful UV rays, while bringing the bright colours of the island to life, we designed the revolutionary PolarizedPlus2® lenses.

What began as our Classic collection of seven styles has evolved into more than 125 styles of sunglasses, all of which are polarized and offer 100% UVA and UVB protection.

We are headquartered in Lahaina, Maui and still design and test all of our sunglasses there.
